Coaches + Managers

Tarragindi Tigers Football Club (TTFC) is a family and community oriented Non-For-Profit Football Club. We strive to provide fun, healthy, team-based participation in the game we love, Football!

When you volunteer for these roles within our club, your dedication and enthusiasm do not go unnoticed. Your contributions play a vital role in creating a thriving TTFC community.

Team Management Roles

Each of our teams here at Tarragindi Tigers is managed by 1-2 people, depending on the age group. These positions are often required to be filled by amazing Volunteer Parents of players within the teams at the start of each season. These roles are:

Manager

In this role, you are the Main Contact between the Club and your team.
Organising assistance from families of the players for Game Day tasks is a large portion of this role. You may wish to create a Roster at the start of the season to allocate such tasks and distribute this to all players families. Weekly reminders of these tasks 1-2 days prior, can ensure everyone is prepared on Game Day and any changes can be discussed if illness, injury or other circumstances need to be accommodated for.
Other managerial assistance may be required through the season, so if you are unavailable during a period of the season, please ask another Parent/Carer to assist in your absence to ensure a smooth season for your team.

Coach

As the Coach of a TTFC team, it is your role to coach, train, support, mentor and assist players in all aspects of the game while creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment for all. This includes running all Training sessions on your allocated day(s) at your allocated location (may be on partner fields in neighbouring suburbs) and leading the team on Game Days, working under the guidance of the club Football Director. In the event you are unavailable for a period during the season, please ask another Parent/Carer to assist in your absence to ensure a smooth season for your team.

As of 2025, Football Australia and Sport Integrity Australia's have been highlighting the importance for Safeguarding children in sport. TTFC is mandating that ALL Coaches and Managers undertake the Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport induction course which can be found here - you will need to locate the course, click 'Enrol' and then either Login or Register with Sport Integrity Australia before completing the course. Please note: it will take approx. 20-30mins and includes confronting topics.
